Week Commencing 28th September 2026
Monday
After a very different weekend for some of us , it was back to normal at Broadway.
Our model railway which depicts Broadway Station and its environments from the past got a lot of interest and comments . and depending on which locomotives were running changed its era from the 30`s to the 50 `s .
Back at base , the weather was good enough to have the first fire of the autumn !
Billy was out on the platforms , a couple of bags full of needles kept the fire going.
On the drive Kevin was attacking the bind weed and Chris did a bit of mowing.
Ian was replacing dead flowers in the troughs.
Wednesday
Over on platform 2 , more riveting and brick work at the front on the building has been taking place.
Ron and Ian were working on the wooden troughs which will replace some of the plastic containers
The Two Dave's were keeping the weeds and grass down behind platform 1 .
2807 and 3850, back off its trip to the SVR , were on duty today
Back at the model railway shop , its a long old day , so a bit of silliness creeps in !
How many wagons and trucks could we get behind the Black 5 , all of them apparently and it still goes strong .
Amazing freight rake length , hope to see the Castle running with the Cornishman soon . This layout will look good along the side wall in the new waiting room ! John M .
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for the castle John , it hasnt had a run out yet as the layout is still in the Diesel shed . i will post a video of it running when we get sorted .
