Keeping on top of things.

 Monday 13th June 2022

Pat and Myself were delayed at Toddington with our gas bottle duties ( the Maroon rake had been parked down by the yard, bit of a trek !) , but as we arrived at Broadway on a warm June summers day the 5 other volunteers were beavering away.

Firstly Ian and Ron were attacking an old tree .

Peter Q was tending to his Shrubs on the embankment , watering and generally clearing the weeds away.

Mike was giving the Gate by the café a bit of attention.

Brian was down the drive giving the grass there a trim. and below Pat seamed to be everywhere first with a hover mower then with a lawnmower.

Whilst I was down Toddington last week I spotted this wheel barrow in the metal skip !!

So last Wednesday Ian and myself  went by train to retrieve it . The top had only rusted away from the frame . So new larger washes were made , rusty nuts and bolts cut out and replaced and Voila . Its nearly as good as new .

When we were at Toddington a wander around the yard saw the Ivatt basking in the sun.
Its due to stay for a couple of more months and it will be pulling  trains in the coming weeks.
