A day of two Halves !

 Monday 27th June 2022

It was still raining when Myself and Pat  returned from Toddington after our gas bottle duties , that was the case for most of the morning. The afternoon was a different matter but by then there were only a few of us left.

But first a flash back to last Wednesday .

Through some of our supporters a contact had been made from a couple who wished to donate some 30 slabs for use on platform 2. Rod , Terry , Keith and Ian made 2 trips to nearby Badsey to pick them up and return them to Broadway for safe keeping.
Many Thanks to Paul and Kate Williams for the donation.

Whilst in possession of the flat bed truck our old roller was taken away to be repaired and then eventually to be used flattening the area around the bay platform.

Many slabs had been moved to the storage area on Platform 2 but as time moved on some left by the fence for another day.

The wind and rain had brought down the usual amount of cones and Needles , Ian , Tony and Peter on the brushes.

Also on the brushes was Mike cleaning out the store room and when the rain eventually stopped he was seen outside on the car park windows which are in need of attention.

The rain doesn't stop Pat keeping the green stuff down.

Dave and Ian did a few jobs in the Goods shed.

Pat moved on further down the platform.

After Lunch the sun began to appear but eventually only Dave and Ian were left ,  nice afternoon to put a few more coats of paint on the bins .
