Tidy? Of course we are Tidy!

Monday 13th July

Here we are again, Haven't I heard that before? Still lots of clearing up to do, also preparing the station for our first visitors.
Neil C came in and installed extra hand sanitizers outside the toilets.

Tony set to cutting the grass down the drive, with Brian raking out the Pine Cones.

We had a delivery of Pea Gravel last Wednesday so Vic and Ian cleaned out the areas in front of the Cotswold Stone wall of Pine Needles and laid the gravel. Certainly an improvement.

Platform 2 was having its hair cut, Tony at one end and Pat at the other. Pat is either having a rest or waving at David.

It's a race, Tony trying to keep up with the mower!

Wednesday 15th July

After I left on Monday it decided to rain and again today we had drizzle off and on. Still the Broadway Maintenance Team carried on regardless.

Tea for one, sorry lads it's mine says Paul. on his first time back in, since March. Tony, Keith, Clive and Vic just look on.

Keith and Clive brought up a collection from the Driveway and Peter K raked over the grass on Platform 2.

In preparation for the opening of the station, PAT checking of all electrical equipment was taking place.

Vic continued with the gravel laying and digging over the soil. Two of the lamp post area will require some modification.

Everything grows so fast!

A continuation of installing insulation panels in our Shop, also commenced today, hopefully all the shelving can be put back in place soon.

Dave back next week.

  1. The gravel in front of the flower border and the cutting of grass on P2 does make a wonderful difference. Well done to you all.
    Regards, Paul.

  2. All looking good and nice and tidy thanks to all your efforts. just been outside of the house for the first time in three weeks and yes the weeds and and wild grass has sprung up and looks like we have never tidied up! A bulder friend says you need to mix some granular salt with the pea gravel to stop weeds and grass growing in it, don't know how true that is but thought i would pass it on.
    Regards
    Paul & Marion
