Wednesday 17th June
In preparation for the railway reopening a team of six Broadway Volunteers came on the first day.
Whilst we have been away it's been "Green Grow the Rushes O", a damaged drain cover and a waist
bin storage area built.
Drain Cover.
The cover driven over by a lorry turning around needed a replacement.
A temporary cover was replaced by taking one from the far end of the station and new one ordered, the open hole had a protective barrier place around it.
Waist Bin Area
This is now at the far end of the station staff car park. The Five Man Team
The team consisting of Tony, Pat, Clive, Keith and Peter K.First it was clearing the Drive collecting Pine Needles and Cones.
Next came the clearing of the grass area on the Broadway Village side of the drive. The next set of photos show how much the grass and weeds have grown it spite of the long dry spell and the clearing gang working.
Vic was busy at the North end of Platform 1 garden clearing and planting new plants.
Next Monday another team will set to clearing another area.
That's all for now folks..
Vic
Thank you Vic for the pictures, Making our new station look as as good as ever.
