Another Week Passes

Monday 9th March

Here we are again, continuing with last week activities and more maintenance jobs.

A team of three Peter, Dave and Ian on fencing. Cutting and fixing bars to the posts. Ian then commenced slapping on preservative. In the background is Chris and David cutting batten bars.

Only three more panels to go.

Tony redoing the sand infill between the paving slabs.

Keith pointed out he needed two buckets, Vic advised to look here. Both buckets were filled with a mix which went in between the coping stones.

Vic and Pat were on garden maitenance. Pat mowing and Vic weeding and admiring his plants in flower.

Unusual Visitor

As you can see from the picture below platform 2 had a Duck. We don't have pond so perhaps he was hoping to catch a train??

Wednesday 11th March

It is Cheltenham Festival and Gold Cup week. Trains running with race goers from Toddington on Tues, Wed, Thurs & Friday including one from Broadway. These trains are all pre-booked and not available for ordinary passengers. Sat & Sun the line is open again for the general public.

A visit to Toddington to put scrap metal in the skip allowed me to photo P&O leaving with stock to return to Cheltenham Racecourse.

Peter K was assembling Spear Fencing in his welding shop and Brian started painting one that had been made.

Ray, Peter and Dave returning to the Mess Room for lunch having fitted a door closer to the Station Masters Office. Peter is behind the camera.

Tony recommenced power washing the paving slabs.

Clive and Ian finished coating the fence with preservative then moved on to the Picnic Tables.

Chris and David were also back in the Sales Shop with more insulation being fitted.

Pat, Chris and Vic were doing the usual clearing and building up a bonfire. Also Vic put compost down in the Picnic Area border garden ready for bedding plants.

Neal was adding another piece to the footbridge in between talking to visitors from the Caravan Park.

Well I'm now handing over to Dave for next weeks report whilst the Grand Daughter keeps Grandma and Grandpa very active.
