Here We Are Again

 Monday 25th April.

The wife's doing the washing I'm doing the cleaning. She's at home I'm at Broadway.it's Monday, Monday I feel that way.

Well I am not the only one at Broadway Station.

First off Tony has a trainee using the Flymo. Well done Keith walking up and down that driveway seems like miles.

Then there was Dave and Brian, one arriving the other going. Dave was joining Pat at Winchcombe to check out the gas cylinders under the RBR.

Peter Q was as usual, first off watering his Hydrangers and then trimming the grass, making sure the Bluebells remain.

Ian was off to collect couple of barrow load of bricks.

Mike looking swarve then changed into his working gear cleaning and painting the Exit Gate.

Peter K was in the workshop trying to sort out the other lawn mower. Finally getting it going, he trimmed the grass on Platform 2. He also sorted out the frame on the Fuel Shed.

Finally Brian, Peter Q and Dave started the building of Litter Bins for Toddington Station

Later on Brian touched up the telephone kiosk with a bit of red paint.

Mike continued with  the white line on platform 2.

Dave who was working on the new bins got a rough idea how big the exterior had to be to fit the plastic bin.

Whilst we missed a Monday  ( due to Easter ) a new addition had since been erected from the station canopy extension.

Can you guess ?

Dave

Vic who is your Blogger today, was in the Walled Garden, loosening the soil and planting two shrubs.
Plus removing loads of weeds. Where Bill & Ben ?

Back in via the train on Wednesday , myself and Ian on the new bins and Pat elsewhere with the mower.

But later in the day we ( The Station ) had a special visitor with his film crew.

He did a few takes around the Station , and several takes that included the tongue twister  " Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway ",  soon  " Foremarke Hall " with the mid afternoon arrived, another take and then he jumped on board and away.

Michael Portillo seen taking to his crew , must be filming for a new series.

Dave

  2. This new TV Series will probably include the many takes of the tongue twister " Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway ".

I can only imagine the voice over, "Today I can't get the train to Stratford Upon Avon here, but knowing how this Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway operate, they will build the line up there soon!"

"So we have bought tickets on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, down to Cheltenham instead!"

"Note how the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway completely rebuilt this Railway Station at Broadway. It is a credit to Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway."

"I watched the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway rebuild on Nigel Balck Flickr website, as well as, Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway Extension Blog."

"By the way, isn't Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, a tongue twister!"
