Door to Door

Monday 26th July 

It was the usual Monday volunteers in at Broadway.


Brian, Peter & Tony were first at the "Goods Shed" rehanging a sticky door, follwed on by working on a Station Door filling a couple of holes where a lock had been removed.













Vic had received 3 donated plants so prepared the ground for planting in the walled garden.



Pat, Tony & Brian were grass cutting.


Peter & Ian were out with the hose and watering can giving the pots and flower beds a good soaking.


Tuesday

Vic took to the rails with family and friends. First train into Broadway Station with a fair number of waiting passengers.















Wednesday


More Slabs arrive from Toddington in between the rain and thunder storms.

It was a day of slab shifting only Pat on one of the embankments did something different , but later he joined in the fun ?.


Rod and Paul did the delivering, Ian the loading.


Peter , Dave and Clive did the shifting,  aided sometimes by young Dave and Chris


Stacking down on Platform 2 was done by Tony, Chris , Dave and later Pat. This is the what we had by the end of the 3rd delivery , 2 more loads came after that . Was there enough , not yet.



Foremarke Hall and 4270 were on duty today both carrying the " 40 years Anniversary " of the GWSR head boards .

  2. When we finally get round to the Platform 2 building they will between the building and the platform edge similar to the lay out of platform 1.
