Longest Day , Smallest workforce

Week commencing 21st June 2021

Their wasn't the largest of number of Volunteers on both of the days this week , its usually Holiday time for us Retired folk just before the school holidays.

Peter Q and Dave headed down to Winchcombe station to continue doing a temporary repair on the windows. We had just started a new window when we were told that Monies had be found and most of the windows and frames will be changed in the near future.
Big sigh of relief from both Pete and Dave

Later back at Broadway , we found Pat on the end of Platform 1 with the strimmer , Ian was pottering around in the workshop and watering the newly planted Plants. Mike was painting the spear fencing .

Something had appeared on the newly erected Canopy extension uprights a pair of wings to hold the roof truss.

Wednesday a nice sunny day saw a few extra volunteers.

Peter and Dave were down the drive.
Pete watering and tiding around his newly planted shrub's , Pat was doing the edges with his Flymo .

Dave managed to collect a wheelbarrow full of pine cones.

Ian was also on gardening duties.

Ian number 2 has rejoined us and was helping Mike and Clive painting the spear fencing.

Later in the day back from their trip to Cheltenham station , Rod , Terry and Keith made a start  re slabbing the  area around the Canopy Extension uprights .

First Train of the day ,  was pulled by " Foremarke Hall  "here arriving at the Station on a lovely summers morning.
