Wednesday 25th September
Clear Up
First the drains. Tony, Ron, Peter and Clive sorting out the drain from Gents Toilet. Then replacing a cover on the Manhole down the drive which had been damaged by one of our Coach Driver.
It was also Pine Needle clearance day. Ron working down the drive and Clive clearing Platform 1.
At the North end of Platform 1 Tony and Ron also cut the hedge adjacent to the B&B.
This as usual led to the inevitable bonfire which our Clive was keeping a watchful eye on.
Early Birds
A couple arrived well before the opening of the station to claim a disabled parking space at the station. Coming from Redditch they were going to spend the day on the railway celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Here they are starting they day in our café with tea and toasted teacake.
FOBS Good Shed
Julie was manning the shop today, here having a visit from John Mayell deep in discussion.
Fencing
Peter was installing a fence in front of one of the gardens. This is at the far North end of Platform 1.

What is wrong with the security camera
ReplyDeleteJust a thought, Vic. Wouldn't it be a bit more environmentally friendly to compost those pine needles and cuttings rather than burning them? I'd have thought you could find a suitable corner of the station site to put a compost bin.
