Sorting Out !

 Week Commencing 2nd February 2026

Monday

As per, it was another wet Monday , so the 3 of us stayed in the dry ( most of the day )

Shelves were put back into the corner of the shed , and the place given a clean up for the half term opening.

The last bin still needs attention , the paint failed to attach itself to a very wet part of the bin , so another week of drying out might solve the problem.

Wednesday

There of us again , plus the first of the daffodils on the station embankment !

Strange fungi growing on the underside of the Broadway running in board , showing how wet the board  has become.

Over on Platform 2 some action down the far end  , dry and warm enough to do some block work.

Kevin was in the garden doing crazy paving ?

Platform 1 running board ( with its mushrooms ) needs attention and drying out , so covers were put over to try and dry it out , lucky the sun came out to help .

I had a go to rebuild the lamp , but it wasn't looking good ,the branch had buckled the top and one side , so a decision was to have more made ! 2 replace the broken ones and a spare just in case !

Little Broadway has no such problems , and today the LMS 4F awaits the signal to pull out of the goods hard , heading to Toddington.

  1. I fear that wrapping the running in board will just make it sweat, causing more fungus What you need is a fungus killer spray.
Jo found a lamp maker of some quality. Downside - they're not cheap!, but would most likely stand up to wind storms much better, and also look much more like the Edwardian originals.
