What a Miserable Day

 Wednesday 16th March 2022

Well it started as well as day in March could , a bit of a dry cool start but come late morning the heavens opened up and was still going strong when the last of the volunteers decided that they had had enough and gave it up as a bad job.

But before the rain appeared .

Vic was behind platform 1 removing rubbish that had blown down of the nearby trees.

Ron was on the driveway clearing more rubbish away.

The two Peters were on the opposite side of the road placing paving slabs in the bank to make life easier when tending to the planted shrubs.

Vic and Chris were giving the Car Park garden another tidy up.

Tony was on the mower , giving the Driveway grass its first cut of the year.

Brian who help Michael last week on the painting of the Platform white line on the top of the edging slabs , this week started painting the face , but soon the rain started and water based paint and rain don't really mix , so that put a halt to his little job.

Dave had finished a new A board for the shop awhile ago , it just needed to be sign written , but our expert sign writer was busy , so the old laminated Good shed list went up .

There were only 4 left at lunch time , soon to become 2 that left Dave and Ian keeping out of the rain tiding up inside of container 2.

Then they had enough .

What a miserable day.

Dave

  1. Thank you for the blog...I don't blame you guys for saying enough is enough in the conditions.

  2. Why am I always asked to agree to the use of 'cookies' every time I open any of the blogs on this otherwise admirable website? It's infuriating!
