A Tidy Up Day

Wednesday 6th November

On Saturday Peter Q donned his England waistcoat wishing the rugby team good luck. Well everyone knows the result.

Vic was in the walled garden sorting out the dead plants and cutting back. So our bonfire was a day late, Clive adding bits and pieces that were no longer required.

Ray was adding more paint to Hayles Abbey Halt running in board.

We had a large number of GWSR volunteers at Broadway today as can be seen by the number of cars.

P/Way team was identifying the track in the station and recording the information.

Neal was up on the bridge, fixing the boards across the bridge span.

The platform furniture and display items have been stacked under the canopy until the station reopens on Boxing Day.

Fencing for the refuse bins storage area has arrived and will be fixed around the concrete pad.

Julie was in the FOBS goods shed doing a stock check. We currently do not require any more items till next March when the railway reopens to traffic.

Peter K our metal fabricator with help from his friends was sorting out the paint store.
This container was now going to be used for welding and manufacture of spear fencing over the Winter shut down period.

  1. You all might want to store things (wood, etc) inside, lest the local 'mice' make off with them!
